Who This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy explains how SOILMATES Plant Shop ("we," "us") collects, uses and shares information when you visit this website or contact us through it. It covers this website only, not purchases you make in our shop.

Information You Give Us

Our forms collect what you type. Every form asks for your name and phone number and lets you add your email and a message. Depending on the form, it may also ask what your message is about, your business name and where your space is (office plant care), which workshop you want and how many people are coming, or the apparel item, color or design, and size you want us to hold. Each form also records which page of our site you sent it from and whether you checked the box to receive text messages.

If you email us at contact@nicosonfirst.com or call us, we get whatever you choose to share, and we use it the same way.

Please do not put sensitive details, such as payment card numbers or health information, in a message. We never need them through this site.

Information Collected Automatically

Like almost every website, our web host keeps standard server logs when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you request. It uses them to keep the site running and secure.

Cookies and Tools on This Site

Our own website does not set cookies and does not store anything in your browser. The "open now" note and the Find your Soilmate quiz run entirely in your browser; your quiz answers are not sent anywhere.

Google reCAPTCHA on our forms. On pages with a form, this Google tool loads the first time you touch the screen, click, move the pointer, use a mouse wheel or press a key. From then on it watches how you interact with the page and sends that information to Google, which scores how likely it is that you are a person and not a spam robot. It may set Google cookies. You will see its badge in the corner of the page and a notice under the form. It is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

We do not use analytics tools, advertising pixels, social media pixels, session recording or heatmap tools on this site. If we add one, we will update this policy and the date above.

These tools run on JavaScript. If you have it turned off, they do not load, and our forms still work.

Our pages link to other websites, such as Google Maps for directions, our Google reviews, and our Instagram, Facebook and TikTok pages. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

How We Use Your Information

We use what you send us to reply to you, answer your plant questions, set aside items you ask us to hold, tell you about the workshop you asked about, and set up office plant care consultations. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a mailing list from these forms.

Who We Share It With

• Our web host, which keeps the server logs and runs a small program that checks the spam score before your form is sent.
• A form delivery service, which receives what you typed and passes it to our email inbox.
• The providers of the tools described above, with the information those tools collect.
• Authorities, when the law requires it, such as a valid court order.

Text Messages (SMS)

If you give us your phone number, we may call you about your message at that number.

Our forms also have an optional checkbox for text messages. If you check it, you agree to receive text messages from SOILMATES Plant Shop about your request, such as a hold confirmation or a workshop date. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase: you never have to check the box to send a form or to buy from us. We do not share your number or your consent with third parties for their own marketing.

Your Choices

• See or correct your information. Contact us and we will tell you what we have and fix anything that is wrong.
• Delete it. Contact us and we will delete what you sent us, unless we need to keep it for a legal or business reason.
• Text messages. Reply STOP to any text from us, or let us know.
• Your browser. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies.

Children's Privacy

This site is meant for adults. Our workshops welcome kids, but a parent or guardian sends the workshop request. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

How Long We Keep It

We keep your information as long as we need it to answer you, hold your item or plan your visit, and to keep basic business records. You can ask us to delete it sooner.

Security

The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS) between your browser and our server. No system is perfect, so we cannot promise complete security.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date above shows when it last changed.
